The 19th Heads of State and Government Summit of the Group of 20 (G20) will take place in November 2024 in Rio de Janeiro, marking Brazil's first term as the G20 rotating presidency as South America’s largest economy.

Ana Cristina Carvalho, Chair of the Tourism Association at Federation Chambers of Foreign Trade (FCCE) of Brazil, shared in an interview with China News Network that this year, which marks the 50th anniversary of Brazil-China diplomatic ties, has seen significant progress in bilateral relations. In particular, enhanced diplomatic relations have made travel between the two countries more accessible.

Ana further noted that this year’s G20 in Rio offers a comprehensive platform for participants to discuss topics such as health, education, and urban quality of life. 菲律宾国家减灾委发布数据称，由于近期菲律宾连续遭受台风“桃芝”“天兔”和“万宜”的袭击，截至11月18日8时，该国受灾人口已超过110万。菲律宾国家气象局称，截至18日4时，“万宜”已经离开菲律宾吕宋岛，进入南海，仍然维持台风强度，其中心附近最大持续风速为每小时130公里，阵风可达每小时160公里，目前正以每小时30公里的速度向西北方向行进。(制作徐妙巧）
